ION awarded DOE funding for CO2 Capture Field Test
The U.S. Department of Energy announced selection of 10 projects, valued at up to $67M over three years, to develop advanced technologies for captureing carbon dioxide (CO2) from fossil fuel combustion. ION Engineering will partner with Xcel Energy, the Electric Power Research Institute, Eltron Research & Development, Evonik Golschmidt and the WorleyParsons Group to design, construct and operate field test unit with flue gas from an operating coal-fired power plant.
